The article presents the results of microbiological examination of pathogenic agents causing chronic bacterial prostatitis in infertile men performed during their preparation for assisted reproductive technologies (ART) treatment. The authors developed the main strategy of antimicrobial therapy for such patients.Materials and methods. The study was conducted in the Department of Assisted Reproductive Technologies at the Center for Reproductive and Cellular Medicine, Children’s city hospital No. 1 in Krasnodar between October, 2016 and March, 2017. A total of 257 infertile men preparing for ART treatment were enrolled. In 108 patients with leukocyte presence in the ejaculate, microbiological and molecular diagnostics were performed.Results. In 100 patients, 214 microorganisms were grown. The percentage of sowing with leucocytes in the ejaculate was 92.6 %. The distribution of the spectrum of isolated pathogens is presented. Basing on our results, we developed the main strategy of antimicrobial therapy of chronic bacterial prostatitis in infertile men during their preparation for ART treatment.
