This article presents the results of a study on the calculation of the duration of the use of natural cold units (batteries with water) for the storage of fruits and vegetables in the territory of Transnistria, as well as on the calculation of the duration of ice formation in the ice storage, describes the process of finding the experimental law of temperature distribution (finding the equation of the distribution curve). The article describes in detail the results of the application of methods of statistical and mathematical modeling for the studied interval. The law of temperature distribution was found. It was proved that the values of the studied temperature sample are subject to bilateral exponential Laplace distribution. It was established that natural cold units may be used during 88 days for the storage of grapes, cabbages, garlic, red beet and carrots; 112 days – for apple storage, 142 days – for pear storage, 180 days – for potato storage, 321 days – for seed onions storage.
