Prediction of employee’s voice behaviour with emphasis on the moderating role of locus of control
Abstract
The purpose of this research is the effect of perceived support on work engagement and employee’s voice behaviour, emphasizing the moderating role of the source of control. The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of nature and method. The statistical population (105 people) was the employees of Kermanshah Cooperative Development Bank, who were selected by the Cochran formula (83 people) by simple random method. The data collection tool was a questionnaire that had good validity and reliability. The results of the hypotheses showed that the perceived supports on work engagement; work engagement has an effect on employee’s voice behaviour, also work engagement can play a mediating role in the influence of perceived support on the employee’s voice behaviour. Finally, locus of control can play a weak moderating role in the influence of support. Perceived effects on work engagement. Despite the designed model, it can be expected that the said bank can pay enough attention to the perceived support in order to promote the voice behavior of its employees. Of course, if he wants to improve the voice behavior of his employees, he should be able to give importance to the role of work engagement, although the locus of control can also be helpful in this field, because it can promote the positive effects of perceived support on emotional attachment. and on the contrary, reduce the negative effects of perceived support in order to increase work engagement.
