Note che trascrivono il gesto: la notazione Stepanov per il balletto
Abstract
The article analyses the notation for dance created by Vladimir Stepanov and developed by Aleksandr Gorsky towards the end of the 19th Century. It examines the symbols used to describe simple movements (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction and rotation) and complex movements (circular actions, movement of the body in space and rotations around its own axis). The article includes multiple images illustrating a position with the corresponding symbol that represents it in the notation, and is completed by summary tables.
