Drowning. The route of a victim (clinical lecture)

Abstract

Drowning is a process of a severe respiratory disorder due to complete or partial immersion in a liquid medium. There are 5 types of drownings: true (aspiration), asphyxial, syncopal, hyperventilation and sudden death on the water. The clinical lecture studies the pathophysiological features of each type of drowning, treatment for each of them, measures to rescue a drowning victim and prevention of drowning.
