Field with additive quadratic dependence on one of coordinates guarantees charged particle motion equation integrability was studied. Ion motion finiteness conditions in electrostatic ion trap are found. As a result, the ability to build ion trap was shown. Potential parameter values providing sufficient workspace between two field-defining electrodes was detected. The algorithm of optimal coordination of beam characteristics and electrode configuration was built.
