A competence approach to adult continuing education for identify and classifying living organisms
Abstract
A competence approach to the systematic identification and classification of vegetal organisms is described in connection with the training of Biology professors for integrating citizens’ attitude to plants, with strictly professional methods. Several theoretical methods were used to construct a general framework together with the application of surveys to experts. The findings include three units of competence together with its components, essential knowledge and performance indicators; patterns of achievement were set in three levels: 1) empirical distinction of the phytodiversity; 2) characterization in the context of wise range use and 3) systematization of systematic botany contents involved in leading the educational process characterized by protagonist strategic actions in management.
