The article is devoted to the regional disparity of the industrial development level in the Republic of Belarus. The report gives ground for the leading position of the industry in the national economy, which proves the relevance of this research. Researchers note an increase in the asymmetry of industrial development between large cities and agrarian regions, which adversely affects the economic potential of peripheral territories. The authors analyzes the existing methodology for the identification of territorial disparity of socio-economic development of the regions. The paper uses the rating analysis of the Belarusian regions in terms of industrial development level. In the article, industrial development is viewed as a complex concept, reflecting both the scale and the efficiency of production, which are achieved at the time under research. Based on the findings of economic geographers in assessing the development level by industrial production, 6 indicators were used, which are the calculated coefficients. These indicators were collected in 3 groups: an estimation of volumes, of a geographical concentration and of efficiency of industrial production. Based on this research the classification of Belarusian regions by level of industrial development has been made. In the article has been proved the selection of 4 classes of the regions by industrial development level: I, II, III and IV order. Particular attention was paid to the territorial concentration of production in the country. As a result, the map of the regional disparity of the industrial development level has been created. This article substantiates the necessity of state regulation of the regional development and reform of the public industrial administration system.
