“DONNER LA MORT”: O Dom e o Gênio nas Teorias de Arte

Abstract

RESUMO O conceito relacionado ao dom parece ter gradativamente se ausentado das discussões artísticas, após as vanguardas do século XX, no entanto Jacques Derrida reabilita a noção de dom problematizando-a a partir de uma concepção avistada por Marcel Mauss e Charles Baudelaire. Este ensaio aborda as distintas perspectivas teóricas acerca do conceito associado ao dom na criação artística. O dom precederia o artista incutindo características artísticas inatas a ele, ou seria forjado através de incessante dedicação e empenho ao trabalho? Através de uma perspectiva diacrônica, tentamos perceber a oscilação entre ambas as abordagens discursivas. Palavras Chave Dom, maldição, talento, arte, Jacques Derrida. ABSTRACT The concept related to the gift seems to have been absent from discussions artistic after the avant-garde of the twentieth century, however Jacques Derrida rehabilitates the notion of gift, through the conception proposed by Marcel Mauss and Charles Baudelaire. This essay discusses the different theoretical perspectives on the concept associated to the gift of artistic creation. The artist would be preceded by the gift which would have instilled innate artistic characteristics or it would have been forged through the tireless dedication and commitment to the job? Through a diachronic perspective, we try to understand the oscillation and concurrence between both discursive approaches. Key words Gift. Curse. Talent. Art. Jacques Derrida.
