Improving the Efficiency of Natural Gas Utilization as a Means to Achieve Sustainable Development in Arab Economies

Abstract

Abstract :Natural gas, as an important source of fossil energy, is receiving increasing attention due to its advantages and growing reserves, particularly in Arab economies that have significant potential to support their developmental plans. However, improving the efficiency of natural gas use is necessary to reduce its negative environmental impact and achieve sustainable development. The study aims to clarify the concepts of natural gas and sustainable development, analyze the economic situation of natural gas in Arab economies in terms of reserves, consumption, and production, and focus on areas for improving energy efficiency. The results indicate that enhancing the efficiency of natural gas is a crucial strategic option for achieving sustainable development, and that Arab economies possess significant resources in this area, which strengthens their ability to achieve their developmental goals.
