Away from "35 rue de Sèvres": parallel experiences of Le Corbusier's colombian collaborators in Paris
Abstract
Rogelio Salmona, German Samper, and Reinaldo Valencia – renowned architects in Colombia in the last decades of the 20th century – worked in Paris in different periods between 1948 and 1958, at Le Corbusier’s workshop (located at 35 Rue de Sèvres). This paper reconstructs some experiences that occurred when they collaborated in the most famous architecture bureau at the time. We emphasize the importance of these experiences, which were essential to these Colombians in order to depart from Corbusian theories, expressed in the mature works of this masteras well as in his discourse.
