In the present paper, the temporal variability and the linear trend of the annual and monthly minimum air temperature, the variability of the decennial minimum air temperature, as well as the variation during the year of the multiannual monthly minimum temperature were analyzed. For this purpose, the meteorological data on the monthly minimum air temperature, but also the monthly average temperature were used, from the Deva weather station. The analyzed period was 1961-2021 (61 years). The result was that the absolute minimum air temperature was -31.6°C in Deva and was recorded on January 24, 1963. The linear trend of the annual minimum temperatures was upward. The 1st decade had the lowest decennial minimum temperature. Over the 6 studied decades, it is generally observed an increase in decennial minimum temperatures from the 1st decade (1961-1970) to the 4th decade (1991-2000) and a slight decrease in them towards the last two decades (2001- 2020). The decennial minimum temperature increased from the 1st decade to the 4th decade by 11.2°C, and from the 1st decade to the 6th decade by 9.3°C. The global warming of the Earth's atmosphere is also felt at the Deva station, where at 11 of the 12 months of the year there is an upward trend of monthly minimum temperatures, during 1961-2021. The most pronounced increase in monthly minimum temperatures has occurred, in recent years, in the June-September interval and in January. So, the nights of summer, beginning of autumn and middle of winter have become warmer and warmer, in recent years.
