The study investigated covid 19 measurements and the operational performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria. Survey research design was utilised with multi-stage sampling method. Primary source of data collection was used through copies of questionnaire. Findings from the regression analysis demonstrated that national lockdown has a negative but significant effect on banks’ operational performance. Movement restriction has a positive but insignificant effect on banks’ operational performance. It was therefore concluded that covid 19 measures disrupted the operations of deposit money banks in Nigeria. It was suggested that customers should have access to electronic banking channels in Nigeria. More so, work flexibility policies that will allow the banks’ employees to work from home should be formulated, adopted and encouraged.
