The achievements of Volodymyr Grytsenko in stratigraphy, paleontology and paleoenvironments and in the field of the geoheritage

Abstract

This paper is about the achievements of V. P. Grytsenko in scientific and pedagogical activity, his discoveries in the field of paleontology and stratigraphy. He is member of Paleontological society under protection of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. There are represented main biographical data deals with Volodymyr Grytsenko. The information of V. P. Grytsenko’s scientific articles, books, atlases, textbooks, materials of reports at conferences, publication in foreign languages are given. Volodymyr is described as field geologist who known in the scientific assembly in Ukraine and abroad. He is a teacher and mentor of youth. His museum works and achievements in this area are described. The scientist represents Ukrainian geologists in International Committee on Conservation of Geological Heritage. His citation index is h = 7, i10 = 6 in Google Scholar. The books and papers were read more then two thousand readers. In 2017 Volodymyr Grytsenko is 70 years old and 45 years from the beginning of his scientific activity, that were the reason to compile this essay.
