Exploring nonequilibrium phases of photo-doped Mott insulators with generalized Gibbs ensembles
Abstract
Light-matter interactions can induce phases and physics not observable in the equilibrium regime of a quantum material but understanding the underlying mechanisms can be challenging. Here, the authors show a generalised Gibbs ensemble applied to photo-doped states in Mott insulators can be used to investigate the non-thermal phases of various correlated states.
