Objective: to reflect about ageing with quality of life and nursing considerations in this process. Method: this is a reflective study. Results: the aging requires from the nurse knowledge related to the issue of aging to help older people enjoying quality of life. To this end, the caretakers of this population must have an extended look, because it is known that the elderly demand of the professionals an approach that encompasses the prevention and detection of diseases in order to better meet the needs of this clientele. Conclusion: further studies are required to examine and better understand the actions that collaborate, so that the elderly have their needs taken into account. This fact refers to interconnected thinking which the nurse may through interlocking support, corroborate for an improvement of the quality of life of this population group.
