This article describes the link of the University of the Basque Country, more specifically in the degrees of Social Education and Teaching of Biscay, with the project of communities of learning in this territory. It reflects the tour followed in the understanding of this relationship, the areas in which it occurs and, above all, it refers to the sense of deepening and strengthening the ties between both projects of work on this new journey where new degrees are being developed from the Declaration of Bologna for the creation of an European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
