EFFECT OF AZADIRACHTIN ON MATURE LARVAE OF MYIASIS PRODUCING FLIES

Abstract

The larvicidal and growth regulatory effects of azadirachtin (neem ingredient) on the larvae of myiasis producing flies were studied at 3 to 15 ppm concentrations. Total larvicidal effects were noticed at i 0.5 to 15 ppm concentration of azadirachtin. Moreover the plant product caused significant reduction in pupal weight, adult emergence, longevity, fecundity and egg hatch
