Redes chamánicas desde el punto de vista Tsachila
Abstract
This paper is based upon historical documentation and ethnographical data gathered during a ten years’ research fieldwork within Tsachila Indigenous communities (Ecuador). Its main concern is to describe the shamanic exchange network revealed in pre and post Columbian past, as well as the one developed during the 20th century in order to understand contemporary shamanic networks. More specifically, the object is to explain the intensive exchanges established by indigenous societies around shamanistic and healing phenomena going further the limits that the globalization as an explanative concept imposes to the complex contemporary indigenous reality.
