CORPOREIDADE, LINGUAGEM E SÍMBOLO: UMA ANÁLISE NO RITUAL CARNAVALESCO DO SUL BRASILEIRO
Abstract
This paper is about the role of the bodys language in the ritual context of the street carnival brazilian parade in the contemporary moment. The data collection that is base of this analysis happened during the carnivalesque period in the cities of Uruguaiana and Pelotas, both in Rio Grande do Sul state, southern region of Brazil. The research is a exploratory investigation, that used the anthropological method for social researches, organizing the analised informations in two principal categories: the bodys language and the body as symbol. We hope demonstrate the central importance of the body as a symbol of the brazilian carnival.
