Highlights • About 800 million people suffer from mental or behavioral illnesses, which represents more than one in ten people. • We present a web application to support mental health professionals to identify symptoms and diagnose mental disorders. • This application applies standardized diagnostic methods through decision trees, reducing the administration time and providing an instant classification. • Users do not need to have knowledge in programming languages or machine learning.AbstractMental and behavioral disorders are identified and diagnosed by clinical methods that include a detailed description of symptoms collected from the individual and others, including the family, a clinical examination to define mental status, specialized tests and examinations. Diagnostic methods based on structured interviews are considered one of the best approaches for gathering and analyzing symptoms. Therefore, we propose WAM-DT, a Web Application that implements a classification binary tree (CBT) analysis to diagnose mental disorders symptoms, which allows healthcare professionals to create their own questionnaires and generate their own decision trees based on the data collected from their patients.
