Ethylene-butadiene-(5-ethylidene-2-norbornene) terpolymer (EBT)/nitrile rubber (NBR) blends were prepared by blending method, and the effects of different blending ratios on curing characteristics, physical and mechanical properties, compression set, aging resistance, low temperature resistance, glass transition temperature and oil resistance of EBT/NBR blends were studied. The results indicated that with the increase of EBT content, tensile strength, tear strength and elongation at break of the blends decreased gradually, while hardness and modulus increased gradually, and compression set got larger gradually. With the increase of EBT content, the hot-air aging resistance of the blends showed a trend of first decreasing and then increa-sing with improved ozone aging resistance and better low temperature resistance, but the oil resistance decreased. When m(EBT)/m(NBR) was 30/70, the comprehensive mechanical properties and oil resistance of the blend decreased slightly, but the low temperature resistance and ozone aging resistance improved significantly.
