MAIN ASPECTS OF TRAINING SPECIALISTS IN THE INFORMATION SECURITY SPHERE
Abstract
Background. In this article, the authors consider the problem of training specialists in the information security sphere from the point of view of an integrated approach, taking into account disciplinary and interdisciplinary connections. The need for a practical component is proved, allowing for the simulation of real-life situations which contributes to the development of critical thinking and forms the ability to work in a team. When studying Theory and Practice of Information Technology as a part of the general professional training of specialists particular attention is paid to modular training, which ensures the removal of linguistic and methodological difficulties. Traditional and innovative approaches to the educational process are analyzed and individual types of exercises for achieving the learning objectives in each module are described. The purpose of the study is to confirm the effectiveness of traditional and project-based teaching methods which makes it possible to develop language and communication skills in learning a foreign language as well as to teach how to solve a professionally significant problem in the information security sphere. Materials and methods. To achieve the goal, the following methods were used: theoretical (analysis of scientific and methodological literature) and empirical (generalization of personal pedagogical experience and experimental training in student groups). Results. A modular approach and a set of exercises aimed at developing critical thinking and collaboration techniques in the educational process have been tested. Practical implications. The result of the study is to give recommendations for the use of a modular approach in teaching the discipline Theory and practice of information technology at a university for training specialists in the information security sphere.
