SLAM TECHNOLOGY FOR MIXED REALITY. Overview dell'Augmented Reality e della Virtual Reality

Abstract

Currently, the most evolved systems of Mixed Reality make use of Slam processes. The integration of SLAM technology into them has enabled MR systems not only to easily recognise the space of the area but also to interact with the digital data with the real ones. Slam technology is a set of rather complex processes that permeate the device to acquire the necessary data not only relative to the surrounding environment but also it's positioning within it. The real challenge of technology is that of accuracy. Autonomous vehicles, drones and robots have been a natural primary application of SLAM technology
