DIGITAL REALITY AS A NEW MANIFESTATION PHENOMENA OF BORDER CULTURE
Abstract
This article is dedicated to the analysis of the phenomenon of cultural liminality and its manifestation through digital space, opening new possibilities for cross-cultural interaction and creating hybrid cultural forms. Studying the liminality of culture at the intersection of digital and real spaces will enhance our understanding of contemporary cultural transformations and current realities. The evolution of digital reality necessitates constant revision of theoretical approaches. Purpose. The aim of the research is to study the phenomenon of cultural liminality in the context of the development of digital reality. Methodology. Using a systematic approach and the historical-comparative method, materials from domestic and foreign sources were summarized and systematized. Results. The study provides a redefined concept of digital reality and formulates specific criteria and characteristics of the liminal state of culture. Analysis of various approaches shows that continuous hybridization of cultural forms is occurring due to the internet, necessitating the study of digital space to understand contemporary cultural processes. In the context of globalization and digitalization, issues of self-identity become particularly relevant, and the liminal cultural spaces of the internet help people rethink their identities. Practical implications. Studying the liminality of culture at the intersection of digital and real spaces will deepen our understanding of contemporary cultural transformations necessary for effective communication in society.
