The neurotransmitter in psychogenic vomiting patients
Abstract
This article describes the clinical and neurochemical correlations for eating disorders. These peculiarities must be considered in differential diagnosis and treatment of psychogenic vomiting and anorexia nervosa with bulimic episodes. Described disturbances of catecholamine excretion indicate reduction of adaptation mechanisms in conditions of prolonged food deprivation, which is a powerful psycho-emotional stress
