Le patrimoine des lycées dans les fonds d’archives publiques
Abstract
Archival records necessary for the study of France’s high schools heritage, and in particular the constructions and works on the buildings, are kept in various parts of the public archives network. The collections kept in the French National Archives, and among them, the documents provided by the "ministère de l’Éducation nationale", French Ministry of National Education that have been archived in the sub-series F17, and then in a continuity series, are logically the most important ones, but they must not hide the variety of sources available. This article aims to present a short panorama of the most notable sources and underline the difficulties in accessing them and how to meet this challenge.
