STUDY ON THE USEFULNESS OF CONCIEVING AND USING PATTERNS IN THE PROCESS OF INITIAL SELECTION AND OF THE FORMATION OF BEGINNERS GOUPS IN THE GAME OF HANDBALL

Abstract

The selection process is more and more encountered in all fields of activities, but nowhere is it so rigorously organized and programmed as in sports. It is a continuous process which aims at detecting, initiating, and maintaining young talented people. Practice has sown that from the formation of beginners groups until the players reach adulthood the “entrance and exit” gates are permanently open. Establishing a pattern that shall be used in the selection process means determining the peak requirements of that particular activity, knowing all the development possibilities of the body, knowing the development indicators of the motility skills, the motility background content represented by motility skills and habits which must be acquired by the subjects.
