Application of Alternatives to Deprivation of Liberty Correction of Criminals as Part of the Process of Humanization of Penal Practice

Abstract

The material is devoted to the modern problems of humanization, liberalization and renewal of penitentiary practice through the introduction of alternative isolation from society and other repressive sanctions measures, methods and means of educational and preventive effects on violators of criminal law prohibitions. The article describes in the most detail the positive experience of such progressive approaches as the model of restorative justice, probation system, transfer under the supervision of special bodies, methods of psychocorrection, which can be used in Russia.
