Optimization of Pearson Ⅲ Frequency Curve Based on R Software
Abstract
The Pearson Ⅲ frequency curve is a common frequency curve in hydrological analysis process. Based on the 47-year annual runoff data of a hydrological station, this paper defines the optimal fitting parameters and frequency distribution curve according to the curve fitting method and the minimum sum of squares of longitudinal deviation, carries out the hydrological frequency calculation, fitting and mapping through the R and Notepad++ software, and adds the automatic finding program of the optimal fitting parameters in the fitting process to output the empirical frequency, the initial value of statistical parameters, the minimum sum of squares of longitudinal deviation and the optimal frequency curve. The application results show that using R software for hydrological frequency analysis can quickly and efficiently calculate the sum of squares of deviation of different distribution parameters and frequency curves, improve the fitting accuracy and work efficiency, and reduce the workload of hydrological frequency calculation, so it is a new method for the optimal drawing of hydrological frequency curve.
