Education of future specialists in specialty 029 "Information, library and archival affairs": on the issue of formation the educational literature fund

Reforming the domestic higher school involves the introduction of new specialties and specializations, which requires an updated package of educational literature and encourages the teaching staff to create modern textbooks and manuals. Purpose of the article. The article highlights the peculiarities of the formation of the fund of educational literature for students majoring in 029 «Information, Library and Archival Affairs» on the example of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Research methods. The use of this goal was facilitated by the use of general scientific (analysis, synthesis, generalization) and special research methods (sometimes historical-historical, retrospective, problemchronological). Scientific novelty. It is argued that the publications actively used by teachers and students of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts are based on the organization of theoretical, methodological and practical achievements of library science as a science, as they filled a large gap in providing educational and methodological components of educational programs 029. It is stated that scientists of branch higher education are actively introducing conceptual models of training of new generation specialists into the educational process, using a whole set of educational literature. Conclusions. It is concluded that modern library and information education is characterized by multifacetedness, variability, novelty, advanced nature, prospects for further development, improvement of quality training of library and information specialists of the XXI century. And today such tasks set by V. Babych in the early 90s of the twentieth century as the creation of a research advisory center in the field of library and information education, the functions of which would include the development of methodological, philosophical and theoretical nature in the field of library science, remain relevant, bibliography, bibliology, information activities, as well as scientific substantiation of the content of professional education, its forecasting, etc. The radical transformation of the domestic library industry into a powerful branch of the information industry requires the most applied orientation of the educational process and integration of library education and practice, which results in the application of effective intellectual strategies and productive search tactics.
