Intelligent system for monitoring forest plantations condition using unmanned aerial technologies
Abstract
The article defines the relevance of using unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor the processes occurring in forestry areas. Forestry can have vast areas with different levels of overgrowth, terrain and other objects or factors that make it difficult to regularly traverse the area to assess the condition of forest plantations. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) makes it possible to monitor changes in the condition of objects by providing launch points, modes of operation, and frequency of flights. The use of such vehicles in connection with an intelligent system provides objective monitoring of the state of objects of observation, the formation of a system of recommendations to improve the state of the ecosystem, prevent events and reduce the level of unfavorable impact on it. This determines the relevance of the work carried out. The paper presents the hardware-software structure of such a system with a description of the functional capabilities of each of its links. The developed architecture provides data processing in different modes of operation, their storage and provision to the user at his request.
