Automatic Control of Dryers by the Temperature Difference Technique
Abstract
The temperature difference technique was developed by Sira Institute for the control of industrial drying processes. The method is based on the measurement of two temperatures inside the dryer and the theory is summarised in the article. Successful applications include the control of textile dryers, rotary dryers and fluid bed dryers. Special control equipment employing this technique is now available from Sira Institute. The technique is currently being applied to other industrial dryers.
