Pulsed radiofrequency represents a therapeutic modality with many unexplored potential applications. In the last few years, however, the use of PRF has become more diffused in research papers, although studies on nociceptive and cancer pain still remain uncommon. The following is a case report of a woman suffering from intense, non-responsive perineal cancer pain treated with ultrasound-guided bilateral PRF. The one-month follow-up demonstrated reduced pain and opioids consumption accompanied by normality in urination and evacuation. Further studies are necessary to better define areas of application for PRF.
