Antroponimia registrada en las Mercedes de Jilotepec, siglo XVI
Abstract
In Mexican history, the 16th century is of the upmost importance. The Mesoamerican groups conquered by the Spaniards discovered ways to conserve their traditions. This work, through the anthroponymy registered by the government and documented by the Mercedes General Archive of the Mexican Nation, attempts to discern the relationships that established the varying social factors of that period. The analysis of the anthroponymic data is carried out from the toponomastic study.
