Companies make investments in Information Technology (IT) to gain advantages from IT alignment with the company’s business. This alignment reveals the performance of the organizations, increases their competitiveness, and improves the project implementation issues of those technologies. Logistics operations are another source of competitive advantage, but have better results when they are supported by IT. The overall objective of the research is to evaluate TMS in a beverage manufacturer in Brazil, on its transport operations between the factories and distribution centers. To achieve this goal, a bibliographical research was conducted, in which some attributes about IT and IS evaluation were found in the literature. For this purpose, using a set of keywords, a web mining was performed on Scopus and ISI basis. A qualitative approach was used, the selected method was the case study, and two semi-structured interviews were made with two managers of the company: the IT manager and Transportation manager. The contribution of the TMS is in the substitution of manual processes, accelerating the exchange of information, the release of the truck fleet, and providing logistics operations with accurate information.
