The article deals with education and school in the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST). The MST brought a new element in the struggle for land reform, which is the family. In this struggle, they organize and act to conquer a portion of the means of production and, with it, the school. The object of the analysis iseducation and the school that the MST created in the struggle for land reform. Theresearch will take place in the MST documents and in the literature produced on the Movement. Thegoalis to show that the subjects of the struggle for agrarian reform are also subjects of education, whose capacity for organization, mobilization and action created an education base in their territory (camp and settlement). The analysis points out that rural education is present in the territories of the MST and has this movement as a political and pedagogical subject. This condition is built from actions in the struggles for land and education that imply specific ways of organizing public education in the countryside guided by an educational project built collectively by MST educators.
