TÉCNICAS DE SENSORIAMENTO REMOTO PARA CLASSIFICAÇÃO E QUANTIFICAÇÃO DO SISTEMA LACUSTRE DO RIO ARAGUAIA ENTRE BARRA DO GARÇAS E FOZ DO RIO CIRSTALINO - THENICS IN REMOTE SENSING TO CLASSIFICATION AND QUANTIFICATION OF LACUSTRINE SYSTEM OF ARAGUAIA RIVER BETWEEN BARRA DO GARÇAS AND CRISTALINO RIVER MOUTH

Abstract

The aim of this study is give a quantitative vision of the lakes in middle Araguaia river, reach between Barrado Garças (MT) and Cristalino river mouth. Was used images TM (Landsat 5), Quickbird, interferometryradar (SRTM), and cartographies products such as bases maps and geomorphology. Was possible torecognize ten types of lacustre sytems in the Araguaia floodpain: meanders spires, compost meandersspires, block valley, abandoned channel, abandoned chained channel, small rivers lakes, lateral acreation,marginal dikes, artificial lake and crevácia lake.
