Why companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina have not been able to achieve a competitive advantage on the international market? No matter how many domestic enterprises have opportunities to achieve competitive advantage, as well as foreign companies, they usually do not succeed. There are several factors at play. The state and its organs cannot create a competitive advantage to companies; however, it can significantly help companies through its regulations, and protect its position in the domestic market, which would allow companies an easier position in the international market. However, we do not think the problem lies only in this factor. The biggest problem, however, is the management structure of the company. The first problem is the separation of ownership from management structures, and desegregation. At the root of the inability to take advantages we believe that there are structure relationships. The structure of the government, the organization of state bodies, in various municipalities, in many companies, in the society, even in the family as the basic unit on which society rests. If the problem of competitiveness translates to sampling and surveys, as in the work done, we get a picture of how people in Bosnia see a competitive advantage. The survey was conducted verbally and through the Internet and gave us interesting answers to this very important question for the economic development of each country.
