The Author Replies: Comment on A Call for Change in Healthcare Governance

Abstract

We are all in agreement. It is most disappointing that CMS has gone out of their way to increase hospital reimbursement at the expense of independent physicians, at least in part. Dr. Parides implies that independent physicians could be good for price control benefitting patients. Dr. Wesselius points out that younger physicians have really never known a different system and so their compliance with the status quo is not surprising. Richard A. Robbins MD
