PELAS LENTES DOS VELHOS: ensaios sobre a proteção social aos idosos

Abstract

The purpose of the text is to comment on some of the current trends in social protection policies for the elderly in contemporary Brazil, pointing out aspects that reveal their insufficiency in the face of the needs of older workers. The text shows that, today, this is a population that, despite the needs for care and attention, contributes to the reproduction of home life as a provider. The analyzes were based on interviews collected in various research situations.
