A new data transmission mechanism between air vehicles
Abstract
High-speed nodes in Aeronautical Ad Hoc Network lead to dynamic changes in the network topology, thus increasing the frequency of re-routing and decreasing the performance of network communication. Selecting a routing path with higher stability can effectively reduce the re-routing frequency and extend the survival time of routes. This article presents a new prediction model of link stability utilizing the receiving signal intensity of data packets. Furthermore, Link Power Aware–Based Routing protocol is designed with the model. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the prediction mechanism which can significantly increase the delivery ratio and decrease the average packet end to avoid transmission delay and lower control overhead.
