Plants easily cultivated at a low cost, for food production, could be an interesting way of offering quantitative and qualitatively food to people. However, the production chain sometimes does not proceed due to, among many factors, the lack of technical and scientific information on these plants. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of three conducting systems on Pereskia aculeata Mill. leaves yield. The experiment was carried out at the Universidade Estadual de Goiás, in Mineiros, Goiás State, Brazil. In August (2006), seedlings obtained by cutting propagation were planted in a 3 m x 3 m spacing, and three conducting systems (treatments) were used: no support - free growth; espalier in double string on the first thread; and espalier in double string on the second thread. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks, with seven replications and five plants per replication. It was possible to observe that the treatment with no support presented the most promising results. O cultivo de plantas que seja de fácil execução e baixo custo, para produção de alimentos, pode ser uma forma interessante de se oferecer alimentação de qualidade e em quantidade à população. Porém, a cadeia produtiva nem sempre prossegue, devido, dentre muitos fatores, à carência de informações técnico-científicas sobre estes vegetais. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de três sistemas de condução sobre a produção de folhas, na cultura de Ora-pro-nobis (Pereskia aculeata Mill.). Para isto, desenvolveu-se experimento na Universidade Estadual de Goiás, em Mineiros (GO). Em agosto de 2006, realizou-se o plantio de mudas formadas a partir de estacas, em espaçamento de 3 m x 3 m. As plantas foram conduzidas em três sistemas (tratamentos): não apoiado - crescimento livre; espaldeira em cordão bilateral no 1º fio; e espaldeira em cordão bilateral no 2º fio. O delineamento experimental adotado foi o em blocos casualizados, com sete repetições e cinco plantas por repetição. Observou-se que o Ora-pro-nobis conduzido sem apoio tende a apresentar resultados mais promissores.
