ENDOCRINE DISPLAY DETERMINANTS OF FEMALE RATS MATERNAL INSTINCTS, FORCED TO PERFORM INTENSE MUSCULAR LOADS
Abstract
In female rats adapted to perform intense muscular loads, an increase in the concentration of testosterone and prolactin while the absence of significant differences in the estradiol level was recorded. At the same time decrease of the ability to reproduce and agalactia were noticed. Intensity of parental instinct is es- timated as good.
