Abnormal uterine hemorrhage is the presence ofexcessive and prolonged menstrual bleeding during various consecutivemenstrual cycles. In most cases its origin is endometrial.It’s the second cause for gynecological consultation, only precededby leucorreas. A rapid evaluation should be done for possible genital, obstetric or systemic disease dependant factors, consideringbleeding severity which determines the type of treatment. Thispaper is a narrative revision of literature of this topic and presentsa management algorithm.
