La historia de España en el Cancionero de romances: el proyecto editorial de Martín Nucio en diálogo con su contemporaneidad

Abstract

Although the Cancionero de romances contains a good number of texts considered to be romances viejos, we can also find among its pages, especially in the section on romances in Spanish history, numerous romances eruditos, many of which are based on the Crónica general from Florián de Ocampo, published in 1541. From the analysis of the context in which these romances appear, we try to give an approximate date to their composition, concluding that the dialogue that Martín Nucio establishes with his contemporaries is at the base of his editorial project.
