Kilns and experimental firing in oxidation, partial and total reduction

Abstract

The paper presents methodologies and results of experimental archaeology applied to the production of ancient pottery in high reduction environment. Manufacture of bucchero and black glazed pottery are tackled with different approaches of experimentation.
