FTA analysis for hydraulic hand pump

Abstract

Under the conditions of a huge products offers, the manufacturers are under the increasingly customer's demands. The goal of each company, striving to survive on the market, to be competitive and successful, is fulfillment of customer's or user's requirements. The measure for increasing customer's satisfaction is maintaining and improving the quality and reliability of the product. Increase of the user's demands leads to increase of the overall product quality. In order to achieve a certain level of product quality, it is necessary to manage quality. The challenge is to create quality and reliability in the early stages of product development. There are various methods and tools that can be used for better results achievement. One of the methods for managing quality is FTA (Fault Tree Analysis). This paper presents the application of FTA analysis to a hydraulic manual pump.
