Gait-analysis-oriented processing of one-dimensional data with total-variation regularisation
Abstract
Total-variation regularisation can be used for the denoising and numerical differentiation of one-dimensional sequences of measurement data representative of phenomena which can be adequately modelled using piecewise-polynomial functions. The general mathematical description of this technique and its implementation – as well as the strategies for its optimisation and an application for human gait analysis – are presented.
