John Amus Comenius and foreign language teaching: A 21st century interview

Abstract

On the basis of studying Comenius’ The Great Didactics, a selection of ideas related to foreign language teaching are presented and discussed in an attempt to call attention to their innovative character, the author’s comments show the origin of didactic principles usually considered as recent achievements.
